There is great variety in Andalucia. From the beautiful GR7 and white village hill trails of the Alpujarras to the lesser known areas of the Sierra de Huetor, Lecrin Valley and Cumbres Verdes near Granada. Whether hiking in the fascinating Tabernas deserts of Almeria or tramping the heights of the mountains above the Costa del Sol.
Just had to be my luck, didn't it? My first time hiking in the Gorafe Desert Badlands and temperatures were forecast to be below freezing. Now in my eyes, the words "Desert" and "Freezing" shouldn't go together. "Hot" and "Desert", that would surely be the norm, wouldn't it?
