There is great variety in Andalucia. From the beautiful GR7 and white village hill trails of the Alpujarras to the lesser known areas of the Sierra de Huetor, Lecrin Valley and Cumbres Verdes near Granada. Whether hiking in the fascinating Tabernas deserts of Almeria or tramping the heights of the mountains above the Costa del Sol.
The "beast from the north" had arrived and the weather was turning colder. The high mountains were out, so we headed for the lower Sierra de Contraviesa hills.
