2 day trek into the Lanjarón River valley this week with a bivouac at Laguna de Nájera. Return over the superb viewpoint of Morrón peak next to Cerro de Caballo. Just glorious!
Photos from last weeks 2 glorious days trekking into the upper Lanjarón Valley. Surprised how much snow still exists. Only saw one other person far away in the distance. Absolutely stunning river and mountain scenery. Had an adventure with some territorial cows and had some fun crossing snow slopes. Came back over the side peak of Morrón, an outlier of Cerro de Caballo, a better summit and viewpoint. A long walk out followed followed by some welcome beers. Some sore legs next day!
