@NunavutBirder I think the West Yorkshire Regiment worked closely with both the Canadian and the Anzac regiments at Passchendaele. In fact he was rescued from a shell hole after 3 days being trapped there at the Battle of Poelcappelle. He crawled the 3 miles back to an aid station where he was eventually repatriated with trench foot.
